Simply stated, the Anderson House is one of DC’s most luxurious event venues. This grand mansion was built in 1905 to rival the splendor and magnificence of European capital buildings. Intended to hold extravagant social galas and impress diplomats from around the world, this incredible mansion includes ornate wood carvings, marble floors, and golden accents.
On the exterior, several reflecting pools, stone fountains, and lush gardens create an idyllic space to catch a breath of fresh air while brilliant lighting illuminates the grand architecture. At night, the estate looks like a royal palace.
Inside, huge painted murals reminiscent of the Sistine Chapel cover the walls and ceiling with their mesmerizing beauty! Italian artwork and architecture abound. We could spend days exploring and photographing all fifty ornate rooms.
The event planning team from Hosts DC know exactly how to take a large guest list and still make the event feel intimate. They expertly designed and decorated two endless banquet tables for a formal dinner while adding smaller, well-spaced tables for cocktails throughout the mansion. We were amazed by their flawless execution, and the soft lighting made the event feel even more exclusive for guests to chat comfortably while they took in the grandeur of it all.
