Outdoor DC Venues with a View | Some of our Favorites
The beauty of event photography – and why it never gets old for us – is that every event is unique. Even after years of photographing in and around the DC area, we still haven’t seen every venue, and the themes are endless. Just when we think we’ve seen it all, someone throws another mind-blowing event that we can’t wait to photograph.
That being said, each host goes into their planning with a specific purpose in mind. Maybe you hope to entertain and intrigue your guests with a surprise performance. Maybe you plan to encourage connection building through an elegant banquet. Or maybe you want to host a laid-back evening cocktail party as a sign of appreciation.

101 Constitution Roof Terrace | 101 Constitution Avenue, NW Washington, D.C. 20001
Not many venues can top this – no pun intended. This gorgeous rooftop terrace is the perfect place for your next event. The elegant outdoor space is large enough for both seated dinners and standing gatherings and has one of the best views of the Capital, which stands front and center! You should see it in the evening when the Capital stands illuminated against the night sky. Truly a spectacular experience!
Potomac View Terrace | 2215 Constitution Ave NW, Washington, DC 20037
This hidden gem gives you the most bang for your buck as far as views are concerned. Located on the 6thfloor of the American Pharmacists Association building, this shaded terrace boasts “unparalleled views of the U.S. Capitol, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Pentagon, Air Force Memorial, Memorial Bridge and the Potomac River!” (Potomac View Terrace) SEVEN iconic pieces of DC all in one incredible view!
Nationals Park | 1500 S Capitol St SE, Washington, DC 20003
If you’re a lover of all things baseball, there’s no greater view for you than at the ballpark. Believe it or not, Nationals Park offers TEN unique spaces to host your event depending on the overall style, theme, and size of your event. Host anything from a fun batting practice event on the field to a large charity event in Right Field Plaza. You can even secure the entire ballpark! As photographers, we have to admit, the lighting is pretty great at this one!
