Weird name, really cool venue. The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is located in Chantilly, Virginia as a companion to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC. The center displays exhibitions – many in the form of full hangars – demonstrating the history of human space flight and aviation. If you have ever toured the center, you know just how magnificent it is. Can you imagine what it would look like for a special event with all of the tourists gone and spectacular lighting showcasing the different air and space crafts?

We particularly love this venue because of its incomparable and flexible space (literally – if several aircrafts fit, so will just about any guest list). If you are hosting your event during a busy time for Washington DC or do not want to be directly in the city, this is a great option. Just 25 miles west of DC, it is still an easy commute for guests.
Plus, when you host an event, the entire center is open to your design and plans! You have plenty of interesting setup options to choose from.
