We recently photographed a gala at the Library of Congress in Washington DC. The national library serves as the primary place of research for the US Congress. Founded in 1800, it is the oldest federal cultural institution in the United States (Library of Congress). So, it would make sense that the building is already a place of wonder as it stands. The walls of books, ornate architecture, and towering columns make all who enter stand in awe. It houses everything from incredibly rare manuscripts to children’s books – and even full collections of music!
To say it’s a uniquely inspiring place to host an event is an understatement. In fact, it takes about an hour to tour and experience all the building has to offer.
