Spy Museum DC Event and Gala Photography
The International Spy Museum at 700 L’Enfant Plaza SW is one of Washington’s most requested non-Smithsonian museum venues. Galas and receptions here use a 7th-floor ballroom with Capitol, Monument, and Potomac views, an 8th-floor rooftop terrace, and smaller rooms inside the museum itself.

Event Spaces We Photograph
7th Floor Ballroom
About 7,122 square feet, 14-foot ceilings, divisible into Salons A, B, and C, with built-in LED wash lighting and skyline windows. This is the main dinner and dancing room.
Rooftop Terrace (8th floor)
Landscaped outdoor space for ceremonies, cocktails, or dinner. Museum figures commonly cite about 140–150 seated or 200 standing on the terrace alone, and about 700 when combined with the 7th floor. Always confirm the current diagram and whether the terrace will be tented.
Museum Lobby
Arrivals among large-scale artifacts. About 190 standing.
The Veil
Third-floor architectural room overlooking L’Enfant Plaza and the Wharf. About 75–100 standing or 40–50 for an intimate dinner, depending on the packet you receive.
Ballroom plus terrace is the classic Spy Museum gala flow: cocktails upstairs, dinner in the ballroom, or the reverse.
